Creating a QR Code for Your Link Collection

This guide outlines the steps to generate a single, reliable QR code that directs users to your URLgenius link collection

Create a QR code that consistently routes users to a specific Link Collection.

Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to create a deep link and generate a QR code for your Link Collection:

  1. Copy the Link Collection Address:
    • Locate and copy the full URL for your desired Link Collection.
  2. Create a New Deep Link:
    • In the URLgenius platform, create a new link.
    • For the initial address, use a dummy or placeholder website URL (e.g., a generic domain you own or a temporary URL - Example: collection246.com).
  3. Set the Default URL:
    • In the settings for your new deep link, change the Default URL to the Link Collection Address you copied in Step 1.
  4. Remove App Schemes (if necessary):
    • On the Routing page for your new link, ensure no existing App Schemes were automatically populated. If they were, remove them (this is typically the top option on the Routing page).
  5. Verify Routing and Fallback:
    • Confirm that the routing for each device type is configured to use the Web Fallback option.
    • Verify that the URL set for the web fallback is your Link Collection Address.
  6. Test the QR Code:
    • Generate the QR code for this new deep link.
    • Scan the QR code with various mobile devices (both iOS and Android) to ensure it correctly and consistently routes users directly to your intended Link Collection page.
