# Recommended Setup for Meta Ads with URLgenius

## How to configure the Website URL and Display Link fields when using a URLgenius link in Meta Ads Manager.

When setting up a Meta Ad using a URLgenius link, use the following field setup:

- **Website URL:** your URLgenius link (e.g., `https://urlgeni.us/amzn/07J`)
- **Display Link:** the destination or brand domain (e.g., `amazon.com`) — this keeps the ad looking familiar and trustworthy to the end user.

**Important:** Meta may automatically move URL parameters into its Tracking section. This is expected behavior in Ads Manager and doesn't prevent your URLgenius link from working — just manage those parameters in Meta's Tracking section as prompted.

**Why this matters:** using the URLgenius link in the Website URL field ensures proper routing, app-open behavior, attribution, and reporting, while a clean display link keeps the ad trustworthy-looking to users.
