# URLgenius Marketplace — Overview & FAQs

## What the Marketplace is, how it works, and how it relates to your Amazon links.

**What is the URLgenius Marketplace?** An optional monetization feature that lets creators earn commissions on select products through participating brands and retailers — sometimes at higher rates than standard associate programs. Creators generate Marketplace links directly from the Product Marketplace, and URLgenius tracks performance and pays commissions separately from other earnings.

**How it works, at a glance:**

- Marketplace links are separate from Amazon deep links
- Marketplace commissions are separate from Amazon commissions
- Marketplace earnings are paid via ACH (Bill.com)
- Marketplace links must be intentionally selected — they don't replace or interfere with Amazon links automatically

**Does Marketplace affect Amazon Attribution or bonuses?** No. Amazon deep links function identically whether Marketplace is enabled or not, and Marketplace doesn't touch Amazon's tracking, cookies, or attribution logic. Amazon tier bonuses are still calculated solely on Amazon traffic and sales.

The one exception: if a Marketplace link is used *instead of* an Amazon link, that traffic goes to the Marketplace retailer rather than Amazon — which can reduce Amazon volume, but only for links actively used that way.

**Why earnings can feel "off":** usually a workflow issue, not a technical one — like an assistant accidentally selecting a Marketplace link, or traffic getting split across multiple retailers instead of staying consolidated on Amazon.

**Is Marketplace optional?** Yes, entirely — creators are never required to use it.
