# What Time Zone Does URLgenius Use for Reporting?

## Why your data might look shifted, and how to convert it to your local time.

All reporting and analytics in URLgenius are displayed in **UTC (Coordinated Universal Time)**. If you're used to viewing data in your local time zone, this can make your numbers look a little different than expected — but it's not missing data, just a time zone difference.

**What this can look like:**

- Data appearing under a different day than expected
- Clicks showing up "late" or "early"
- Reports not matching other internal tracking tools

**Quick conversion reference:**

| Time Zone | Offset from UTC |
| --- | --- |
| Pacific (PST) | UTC − 8 hours |
| Mountain (MST) | UTC − 7 hours |
| Central (CST) | UTC − 6 hours |
| Eastern (EST) | UTC − 5 hours |

**Example:** A click recorded at 2:00 AM UTC shows as 6:00 PM the previous day in PST, 8:00 PM CST, or 9:00 PM EST.

**Best practices:**

- Always confirm the time zone when comparing reports across tools
- When analyzing a specific day, factor in the UTC offset
- For the clearest picture, review a slightly wider date range (including the previous day)
